Kari joined Gjesdahl Law, P.C. in 2016. She is dedicated to helping families resolve their issues and address their changing needs. Her practice primarily involves adoptions, Assisted Reproduction Technology (ART), Gestational Carrier Agreements, and divorces involving financial issues, parenting terms, visitation schedules, and child support.
In October 2021, Kari attended a four-day American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Family Law conference in Orlando, Florida. The educational event included a variety of family law and ART topics including, the future of family law, cultural competency, and gestational carrier agreements. The Orlando seminar enhances the firm’s ability to handle such matters with grace, competence, and compassion. Kari and her Gjesdahl Law colleagues regularly attend national ART seminars. She and the firm are in relationship with the small, but tight-knit, national community of attorneys, medical and mental health providers, insurers, and other professionals devoted to this important work.
Kari has also participated in an elite 8-day Family Law Trial Advocacy program sponsored by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy (NITA). She was one of just 46 attorneys from across the country selected for this training. The program focused on all the skills used in a divorce proceeding and includes working in a simulated courtroom environment.
Kari is married and has two young children.
